Calculating The Area Required
To get the maximum enjoyment out of your pool table. It’s important that you allow for sufficient playing space around the table. We will advise you the recommended space, and some useful alternatives if the place is a constraint. When it comes to calculating the area required for a pool table, it’s quite simple. Just use this formula, and you will come to the ideal space necessary for a pool table;
Calculation is based on a 57″ cue.
The Ideal Length: 10ft(3m) + length of the Pool table
The Ideal Width: 10ft(3m) + width of the Pool table
If you are looking at purchasing a 7ft(2.1m) Pool table in Singapore, then the ideal space would be 17ft x 13.5ft(5.2m x 4.1m).
Space Saving Alternative
On the case whereby space is a constraint, a 48” troubleshooter cue can be used when shots at the edge of the table are to be taken. Which in this case, you could reduce the space required by a further 2ft(0.6m) on both the length and width.
Therefore, a 7ft(2.1m) table would only require 15ft x 11.5ft(4.5m x 3.5m), which is a much smaller area than the original ideal space.
Do not worry about a troubleshooter cue affecting the quality of gameplay though, as our troubleshooter cues are all adequately weighted and designed to feel like a regular cue.
